1. About us

IB Math Lab is a service of Prepalio International B.V., registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42134936. By applying for, enrolling in or attending the course you agree to these terms.

2. The course

The 8-Week IB Math Intensive is a live online course for IB Math AA SL. A cohort of up to 8 students meets Monday to Friday at its group’s fixed time (groups at 14:30, 16:15, 18:00 or 19:45 CET) for 8 weeks: 40 sessions of 90 minutes, of which 3 a week are teaching sessions and 2 a week are supervised lab sessions. Sessions take place over video call on a shared online whiteboard. The October cohort runs from Monday 26 October to Friday 18 December.

3. Enrolment and payment

A seat is reserved when the course fee of €3,000 has been paid in full through Stripe. The fee is paid once, up front; we do not offer instalments. Prices are in euros and, where applicable, include VAT. Joining the waitlist for a full group costs nothing and reserves nothing; if a seat opens, the first family on the list is offered it and has 24 hours to reserve it.

4. Minimum cohort size

A group runs with at least 4 students. If fewer than 4 seats in your group are filled by the start date, we will offer you a place in another group at the same start date, a place in the next cohort, or a full refund, at your choice.

5. Withdrawal and refunds

If you withdraw during the first week of the course (by the end of the fifth session), we refund the full course fee, no questions asked. After the first week, fees are non-refundable. Missed sessions are not refunded or credited.

6. Attendance, recordings and conduct

Teaching sessions are recorded and made available to enrolled students of that cohort for the duration of the course. Lab sessions are not recorded. Recordings may include students’ voices, video and whiteboard work; by enrolling, you and the student consent to this. Recordings and materials are for the enrolled student’s personal use and may not be shared or published.

Students are expected to attend with a working tablet and pen, camera on, and to participate. We may remove a student who repeatedly disrupts sessions; in that case no refund is due.

7. Equipment

Students need a tablet with a pen (for example an iPad with Apple Pencil), a device for the video call, and a stable internet connection. We provide a setup guide before the course starts but are not responsible for a student’s equipment or connection.

8. Referral programme

Referral codes are issued to enrolled families after the first week of the course, and to teachers and other referrers we have approved. When a family uses a code at checkout, they receive €200 off the course fee and the referrer earns €200 for every family who enrols with the code. Payouts are made to the referrer’s PayPal account once the referred student has completed the first two weeks of the course. A code applies only to a family’s first enrolment, and may not be used on the referrer’s own enrolment or from the device it was requested on. We may withhold payouts or deactivate codes in cases of abuse or self-referral.

9. No guarantee of results

We are confident in the format and have seen consistent improvement in students who put in the work, but we do not guarantee specific exam grades. Outcomes depend on the student’s effort, attendance, prior knowledge and exam conditions.

10. Intellectual property

All problem sets, worked solutions, mock papers, recordings and other materials are the property of Prepalio International B.V. and are provided for the personal use of the enrolled student only.

11. Privacy

We collect the details you give us when applying or enrolling solely to run the course and contact you about it. Payment is handled by Stripe. See our privacy policy for full details.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Amsterdam.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to enrolled families.
